If you are looking at learning in Thailand then you will need a Student Visa to be in Thailand. This visa can be applied for however you would need your school to provide certain documents for this to occur.
Many people decide to learn in Thailand some apply to a college or a language school. These educational institutions need to be registered with the Thai government in order to apply for an Educational Visa for them. Most schools will either complete and apply for the visa for you however many do not. Thailand currently requires that you have a yellow fever certificate if you have come from one of these countries in the last 90 days.
